EVA's vascular surgeons use the latest technology – laser vein ablation – to eradicate bulging veins. This procedure is performed in a state-of-the-art operating suite in a lovely Fifth Avenue office setting, under local anesthesia, with minimal discomfort and no scarring. Patients can return to work the same day, with no activity restrictions.
EVA is also one of the only groups that aggressively removes venous clots (deep-vein thrombosis, or DVT) through pulsed mechanical thrombectomy.
"At EVA, our goal is to reduce patient anxiety and discomfort and substantially accelerate recovery time," Dr. Bernik says. "We accomplish this by offering our patients the most advanced options in health care today."
