Conveniently located on New York's exclusive Fifth Avenue, Dr. Romita's state-of-the-art surgical suite is a safe alternative to a hospital setting for most aesthetic procedures. More extensive surgery may also be performed at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center and New York Medical Center in Queens.
Dr. Romita has helped pioneer a unique approach
to reversing the aging process through keen appreciation of the
synergy among medical disciplines. The guiding force of his approach
is a concept called "sequential intervention," whereby
the early signs of aging are corrected with less invasive techniques
for as long as possible. Progressively more complex surgical enhancements
are introduced only when they are necessary and when the benefits
can be maximized. According to Dr. Romita, "The goal of modern
plastic surgery is to preserve a youthful appearance when possible
and restore only when necessary to achieve a natural-looking, harmonious
result."
Dr. Romita has published numerous papers in the field of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Trauma. He has been named one of New York Magazine's "Best Doctors in New York" and is listed in Castle Connolly Medical's 1999 edition of "How to Find the Best Doctors In the New York Metro Area."

Dr. Romita Recieves City Council Award

I was asked to join the board of directors of the prestigious Madison Square Boys and Girls Club of NY in 2002, as the first physician in recent years. Madision is the second oldest such organization in NYC founded in 1882 and is esteemed for the excellence of its efforts in the youth movement and for the prominence of its board of directors.
My goal was to establish an effective initiative for the organization to address the health needs and lifestyle standards of the inner city underprivileged children and families it served. In 2003 we began a series of “health fairs “ to integrate medical, nutritional and wellness services provided by local hospitals , physicians and municipal agencies in proximity to each of the clubhouses in the boroughs of Bronx Queens and Brooklyn.
Through the efforts of me and the clubhouse directors, we created a program which has increased in effectiveness and awareness with each passing year. Participating health care institutions and providers provide insurance subsidies, healthy nutrition and hygienic services to the member families which were either unknown or in short supply.
Children receive at no charge, treatment and diagnosis of diabetes, asthma, hypertension and obesity all endemic problems of inner city families. Many of these residences were only minimally or not at all aware of the availability of these services. There is an increasing epidemic of these childhood conditions, which if left unchecked can severely affect their adult lives.
Now in its sixth year the health and wellness initiative has expanded to include many more willing providers all eager to join in this nationally recognized effort.
I am very proud this year to have received the prestigious citation of merit from the NYC Council. The health and wellness initiative has been taken up by Boys and Girls Clubs of America. I am very proud to have served in its formative stages and will continue to participate in its growth.

Madison Square Boys and Girls Club

Dr. Romita proudly serves on the board of Madison Square Boys and Girls Club, and has been the first physician appointed to the board of this prestigious 125 year old organization.
It is one of the oldest clubs of its kind, with a history of improving the lives of inner city youths.
For the past 8 years I have worked to establish the first comprehensive health and wellness program in the clubs history, it anticipated the awareness by Boys and Girls Clubs of America to address the problems of adolescent obesity, asthma, and numerous health related issues. We also strive to provide access to low cost health insurance to our uninsured families. The program has been an enormous success and most appreciated by the members and their families.
Madison is a pioneer club in this program anticipating the needs of our children in improving the wellness and quality of their lives. Healthy kids have much better chance to become health and productive adults.
